The Year of Commerce and Culture invites the residents of Barcelona to rediscover the hidden corners, anecdotes and curiosities of the Barri Gòtic. These guided tours will take place every weekend in November and December.
Located in the heart of the city, the Barri Gòtic is an area that attracts large numbers of tourists that is becoming increasingly alien to the citizens of Barcelona. And it is the city’s residents that this proposal for the Year of Commerce and Culture is targeted at. The aim is to rediscover the Gothic Quarter, the lesser known corners, its curiosities and its legends.
The Barri Gótic guided tours are a Barna Centre and Cultruta initiative and two itineraries are offered. At the end of the walk, participants will receive a set of 24 cards showing the points of interest and a small gift.
The activity, which began on 3 November, will run until 4 January and there are morning and afternoon tours (at 11.30 am and 5.30 pm).
You can register on the www.barrigotic.catwebsite. The activity is free, but the booking fee is 1 euro.
