From February 1937 until January 1939, Barcelona was systematically bombarded by Nazi, fascist and Franco aircraft. The city served as their test bench as bombs rained down over the Catalan capital according to a systematic policy aimed at the destruction, terror and demoralisation of the civil population. This book is the most thorough and exhaustive census taken up to now of the buildings in the city that were hit by the bombardments and to what extent they were damaged. All the information has been entered into a general database, and this date used to geolocalise the destructions by air warfare on the historical map of the city.
