Until today, Rossend Llurba was virtually unknown, and undeservedly so, despite being the author of the first Catalan couplet, (“La font del Xirineu”, written in 1917). He also chronicled the amazing atmosphere of the Paral•lel, and left us his most ambitious project: a history of his beloved avenue on whose stages he used to perform.
