UNICEF and DiR go tandem in a truly solidarity cycling fest

Events. The UNICEF DiR Cycling Fest will have six sessions, each lasting roughly one hour, and is aimed at raising money for projects in Africa and the Middle East

This Saturday, 7 October signals the start to a new solidarity sports event: the Cycle ride for UNICEF. The event is being organised by UNICEF in conjunction with the Club DiR and the main goal behind it is raise funds for drinking-water supply projects, creating sanitation facilities and promoting hygienic practices which UNICEF Espanya has been implementing in Africa and the Middle East.

You can take part in it for 10 euros, which includes a free technical T-shirt. 100% of the money raised will go to these projects. The event’s location is unbeatable and has a lot to offer, as its participants will be able to cycle by the sea, more specifically at Plaça Rosa dels Vents.

To keep the numbers of participants as large as possible, the cycling event will be divided into 6 sessions, each lasting approximately 1 hour. (4 pm, 5 pm, 6 pm, 7 pm, 8 pm and 9 pm).
