Literary Nomenclature

The Barcelona nomenclator directory includes almost four hundred streets, plaques and gardens named after authors, poets or journalists, ranging from Seneca to Roberto Bolaño, and there are another forty-so names of authors still waiting their turn, such as Zola, Graham Greene or Valentine Ackland. Most plaques are to be found in Ciutat Vella: Cervantes, Auca del senyor Esteve or Salvat-Papasseit. Eixample is home to those dedicated to Montserrat Roig or Antonio Machado, whereas Sarrià includes J.V. Foix, Maragall or M.V. Montalbán.
