Against gender violence

On the other hand, Creu Coberta and El Born shops will be taking part in the BCN Antimasclista “You can't turn your back” campaign this coming 25 November, to mark the commemoration week kicking off on 25 November. Creu Coberta's retailers - old hands in organising activities against gender violence, with involvement from establishments, such as when the Commerce Fair is held, are joining up with retailers from the El Born neighbourhood. A manifesto against gender violence will be read out at Creu Coberta on 25 November, International Day against Gender Violence. A manifesto commemorating that day against gender violence will also be read out, at Plaça Sant Jaume, at noon, and a minute's silence held.

The campaign aims to continue raising society’s awareness, calling on the public not to turn their back on gender violence. This call for respect and preventing further assaults will appear in images created for the campaign, some of which you can see in the photos accompanying this text. In addition, the retailers’ shop windows will have their mannequins’ backs turned, for example, together with the slogan “You can’t turn your backs to gender violence”. There will also be two stands along the Rambla and in Hostafrancs providing information on the campaign.
