Discover the best of Barcelona design with the Barcelona Design Tour
Barcelona is a creative city buzzing with talent and trends. Culture, art, music, fashion and design all culminate in Barcelona’s streets and plazas to create a distinct style that gives Barcelona its own unique identity.
This unique identity is Inherited in part by talented artists like Antoni Gaudí, Joan Miró, Antoni Tàpies and Joan Brossa, who’ve all lived and created in Barcelona. A legacy continued on today by local contemporaries and the many talented creatives who’ve moved their workshops to Barcelona in the last 25 years.
To showcase Barcelona’s creative spaces, Barcelona Centre de Disseny has created the BCN Design Tour. The tour submerges us in Barcelona’s design world through maps, images and stories by Montserrat Gustà, Renart Edicions and Nacho Benavides.
Barcelona is one of the world’s leading design capitals and this map shows why, with must-see destinations, schools, galleries, hotels, bars, restaurants, boutiques and businesses. Featuring Barcelona’s unique architecture with famous sites like the National Library of Catalunya, CCCB and Casa Bloc and a wide range of shops, such as Ballut, a concept store dedicated to home and decoration, the bookshops of Laie at CaixaFòrum and MACBA, and artisanal chocolate maker Cacao Sampaka.
The result is more than 280 points of interest for both Barcelona locals and visitors alike, that show why the city is a reference point in the design sector.
