The annual call for proposals for the SAC-FiC Programme of Residencies, an initiative promoted by Sant Andreu Contemporani and Fabra i Coats – Art Factory, has now opened, and will close on 8 January 2016.
Under this programme, three visual artists who need a workspace to develop a project will be selected. The successful candidates will enjoy the use of a workspace with a low rent from February to December 2016, as well as a production allowance of 1,200 euros. They will also receive support and mentoring from the SAC team, and will regularly receive, in their workspace, visits from curators, critics and other stakeholders from contemporary visual art world. The final projects must be presented as part of the Sant Andreu Contemporani 2016-2017 programme.
A commission formed by Silvia Dauder (art dealer), Alberto Peral (artist) and Marla Jacarilla (artist), will select the artists for the SAC-FiC Programme of Residencies. A representative from Fabra i Coats – Art Factory and the members of Sant Andreu Contemporani will also form part of this commission, with voice but no vote.
