Sant Andreu Contemporani (SAC) was established to run the call for proposals for the Miquel Casablancas Visual Art Competition. In this process, a jury formed by several professionals from the sector annually awards a prize/purchase of work, a production grant for a project, another grant for an artist’s publication and a prize/commission to produce the graphic communication for the season. Parallel to this award process, the members of the jury produce a curatorial project based on a free, flexible selection from amongst all the artists that take part in the competition.
