On Friday, May 27, Sant Andreu Contemporani presented the exhibition "Do you believe?", a show featuring pieces the artists shortlisted for the 2016 Miquel Casablancas Prize in the “work” category, as well as the dossiers on the shortlisted projects in the other categories: project, publication and graphic communication.
More than three hundred applications were submitted to the latest edition of the Miquel Casablancas Prize, and these were all scrutinised by a jury formed by Anna Dot (artist and independent curator), Beatriz Escudero (independent curator) and Sabel Gavaldon (independent curator and researcher), as well as by members of Sant Andreu District Council and the Sant Andreu Contemporani team.
The exhibition also includes works by the artists who took part in the 2015 SAC-Fic Programme of Residencies: Marla Jacarilla, Mercedes Pimiento and Ayelen Peressini.
First launched in 2011, SAC-FIC is a programme of residencies for visual artists which Sant Andreu Contemporani promotes in cooperation with Fabra i Coats - Art Factory.
