MIRA. Digital Arts Festival, which will take place at Fabra i Coats on November 10, 11 and 12, will feature more than 30 activities devoted to digital art: 20 audiovisual shows (13 seen for the first time in Spain plus 5 exclusive shows commissioned for the festival), 3 “fulldome” 360º shows in a dome devoted to art projects designed for an immersive projection and sound environment, 3 large immersive installations, 4 lectures, 2 screenings and the MIRA Digital Art Gallery. This gallery will feature digital works by some of the visual artists taking part at MIRA 2016.
On Thursday, November 10, the festival will present a series of free activities, while the core programme will take place on Friday and Saturday, November 11 and 12. The main stage will be installed in the central nave at the art factory, while a new feature will be the extended spaces devoted to the digital arts, which will occupy more than 1,000 m2.
The art installations will be located in the Bota Space at the Fabra i Coats site and in two rooms on the upper floors at the art factory, while the MIRA Digital Art Gallery will be housed in the Contemporary Art Centre.
