'Amor' (‘Love’) by the Company EL EJE

Two young women with plans for the future meet one night during one of Andrea’s poetry recitals. They have sex. They fuck a lot and they fuck with passion. They fall in love. They obsess deeply and passionately over each other, get sweaty, get intimate and bond. They spend day after day together until they decide to live together and build their lives together and grow old together.

Blanca is offered a job in Madrid, meaning she has to go back and forth to Barcelona and the relationship starts to fray. They are so together but also so apart. Sex becomes non-existent. They begin to have new tastes, things that one likes are incomprehensible to the other. But something makes them think “this is just a normal crisis”.

Andrea can’t write because if she is happy the lines don’t come. But it wouldn’t change one iota what she has with Blanca, which seems to her so unique and so impossible. After a few months, stability and routine force them into noticing other things and people.

Are there normal crises? In the end, everything will come to a head in an underground station right on the outer fringes of London.
