Eixam i Rauxa. Enjambre i Jaleo (Swarm and Din)

The final show of the community creative arts project by #ARTiPARTstandreu takes place on the last Sunday of May at Fabra i Coats. Artists from the Arts Factory and thirty local residents from Sant Andreu will show the results of their creative process around the public space of the neighbourhood.

Since February, some of the resident artists at the Arts Factory Fabra i Coats have reached out to the community and invited residents to embark on a creative journey of exploration around their neighbourhood. As part of a joint community project, artists and residents of Sant Andreu have collaborated on various collective workshops for volumes, musical improvisation, theatre and wardrobe construction. All together, with the aim of reapropriating and reinterpreting public squares, streets and other elements of Sant Andreu’s urban space. Throughout this creative process there has been engagement with locations such as Plaça de les Palmeres, Plaça de l’Estació de Sant Andreu Comtal and the gardens of the Casa Bloc, leading sites of the various «presences» or open performance art shows carried out in public spaces throughout March, April and May.

So the large final show of 27 May will bring together some of the public spaces used in the community creative process worked out and transform Fabra i Coats into a kind of contemporary amphitheatre. There you can witness music, visual arts, installations, movement and more... A mixture of artistic languages that make up an innovative choral show inspired by the district of Sant Andreu.
