Starting from the idea of cinema as experience, recovering its essence through its relationship with mechanics and art, this workshop aims to bring the necessary tools of initiation into the creation (filming – developing and screening) of a collective 16 mm film, considering it as a filmic sensorimotor experiment.

Proposing a creative process focused on shifting the emphasis from the gaze behind the lens and an ear only for the sound register, the workshop will encourage an engagement not only with sight and sound within the different practices, but also touch, smell and taste in an ensemble of individual and collective ceremonies of re-appropriation through the body of the various stages of filmic creation.

This workshop will be led by the filmmaker and artist Adriana Vila Guevara, dedicated to exploration of materiality and immateriality of cinema and its role in action, performance or installation.
