The Ateneo de innovación Digital y Democrática is a citizen laboratory that promotes experimentation and the development of projects and initiatives in which open technologies, digital rights and democracy intersect. An athenaeum open to all citizens that works with the local area, the city as a whole, and that weaves networks on a global scale.
Barcelona is a city that is committed to innovation together with its citizens and that designs technologies at the service of the people.

We promote citizen access to transparent tools and the development of free and open technologies at the service of democracy.

The Directorate for Democratic Innovation seeks to promote the use and development of open and democratic technologies to meet the demands of citizens and the city itself.
