LAB Metadecidim is an open and collaborative research mechanism to address key issues in the development of the Decidim Barcelona platform and network democracy. From now on, reflections generated during these shared work sessions will be available on a YouTube playlist.
The channel already features the material relating to the session on 21 April on exploiting political gamification strategies and the commitment to democracy, with the session recording and three interviews.
Ruth S. Contreras, co-founder and coordinator of the Observatory of Communication, Video Games and Entertainment (OCVE), speaks about ethical issues, security and treatment of personal data relating to gamification; Xavier Guardiola, lead data scientist at King (Activision Blizzard), analyses concepts such as retention, commitment and virality, and Òscar García, academic director of ENTI-UB and advisory member in gamification for Cookie Box, focuses on the personalisation and social dimension of the platforms.
Every month the playlist will feature new videos on different topics and interviews with people participating in the processes relating to #Metadecidim.
