The activity is part of Barcelona Activa's initiative to provide training and support in the field of the social and solidarity economy.
This Tuesday 18 June saw the last session, with the participation of Barcelona’s Markets, of the Service Learning (SL) seminar focusing on cooperation for more sustainable eating in the city.
The activity is part of Barcelona Activa‘s initiative to provide training and support in the field of the social and solidarity economy. More specifically, the aim is to make agro-food projects for inter-cooperation between different players viable in order to promote healthier, fairer and more sustainable eating habits in the city.
This results in a joint work experience that makes it possible to address issues such as conscious and responsible consumption, sustainable food production and agro-ecology (in a practical way based on experience) at the same time as key values and skills such as teamwork, living and getting on together, responsibility, respect, accepting differences, social and communication skills, self-improvement, the ability to learn and ask for help, trust, effort, persistence and, above all, self-esteem.
Following the training provided at the Tres Turons Foundation and Barcelona’s Markets together with other players of the city, the possibility of starting a project in the La Guineueta Market cooking area is being considered.
