You can make a note in your diaries for Wednesday, 13th September. As in other years, we at the Museu del Disseny will come together with more than 1400 museums from 54 countries around the world to take part in the Ask a Curator initiative.
What exactly is #AskACurator?
On 13th September, we invite you to put all those queries and questions to us that occurred to you when visiting the museum or anything you are curious about that relates to our collections. Our team of conservators, archivists and design specialists will answer you from 9AM to 3PM: you only have to tweet your questions to us on Twitter using @museudeldisseny, accompanied by the #AskACurator hashtag.
Where did the initiative start?
It is true that we answer your questions on Twitter and the other social networks all through the year. But with the return from holidays in September, it has become the ideal excuse for museums to open up the doors to their collections and knowledge. And this is what we have been doing since September 2010, the year in which the initiative was born, all thanks to the museum specialist, Mar Dixon.
On Wednesday, 13th we will be keeping a close eye on our Twitter timeline, and hope to see you there!
