The most <<designer>> Barcelona

Twelve years after its first edition, this year the Barcelona Design Week (BDW) will start stronger than ever, having established itself as a world-class event.

Organised by Barcelona Centre de Disseny, (Barcelona Design Centre), this time BDW will incorporate more than 100 activities, including workshops, talks, exhibitions and tours. These will focus on design, creativity, innovation and sustainability under a single theme: 'Transforming society'.

Most of the activities will take place at the Disseny Hub Barcelona building from 6th to 14th June, but there will also be events in other parts of the city:  the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion, the Espai Zero at Fabra i Coats, ELISAVA (the Barcelona School of Design and Engineering) and EINA, University School of Design and Art.

The 2017 Edition has two new features: the Talent Show directed by the designer Òscar Guayabero and produced by the Museu del Disseny, and the Poblenou Design Day initiative, which will link Design with the neighbourhood.

Keep an eye on the Museum’s social networks and the two hashtags that will be buzzing with activity over the nine days: #Bdw17 and #TransformingSociety
