The Museu del Disseny wins the Ibero-American CIDI Award

2017 is a good year for the Museum. Representatives of the Ibero-American Council of Interior Designers (CIDI) have judged the emblematic architecture and museology of the museum to be the winner in the Culture Category of the Latin American Cidi Awards.

Next Tuesday, 23rd May at 8 pm, the award ceremony will take place, recognising the architectural project. The event will take place in the Documentation Centre of the museum, with several representatives of the CIDI, the Institute of Culture of Barcelona and the Director of the Museu del Disseny, Pilar Vélez, present as well as the creators of the architectural design for the museum, the MBM architecture studio.

For 2017, the Ibero-American Council has initiated a programme recognising initiatives on all continents. The award-winning projects are linked to architecture, interior design, urban planning and landscaping. The winners come mainly from Latin American countries, but there are also initiatives from Oceania, Asia, Africa and Europe.
