Toni Cumella, honorary member of the Acadèmia Internacional de Ceràmica

During the 47th Congress of the International Academy of Ceramics (AIC), held at the Design Museum from September 12 to 16, Toni Cumella was chosen to be an honorary member of the AIC for his career accomplishments. This year Congress has revolved around ceramics applied to architecture and public space, and Cumella has worked a lot in this area. 

Currently, you can see exhibited pieces by Cumella at Brick by Brick. Ceramics applied to architecture and Cumella Ceramics: Shaping Ideas, both at the Design Museum 

The latter takes us into the workshop of Cumella Ceramics, which was created in 1880 and Cumella is the third generation at the helm. The exhibition was produced by the Architectural Association School of Architecture (AA) in London, in collaboration with A-FAD and curated by Christopher Pierce and Chris Matthews.
