3 reasons to visit Eolssigu! The Sounds of Korea at the Museu de la Música de Barcelona

The exhibition Eolssigu! The Sounds of Korea opened on 2 November 2017 at the Museu de la Música de Barcelona, bringing the traditional musical practices of the Republic of Korea to the Catalan capital.

Here are three reasons why we think it’s worth visiting before it closes on 3 June 2018:

  1. Because music is a great way to discover something different.
  2. Because the exhibition is aimed at presenting musical practices and their social setting, and not just musical instruments.
  3. Because Eolssigu! is committed to the acquisition of knowledge beyond reading and observing, offering 16 original audiovisual pieces, interactive instruments, a beautifully-produced book with rich photos that comes in three languages, guided tours, workshops...

Here are three upcoming highlights:

  • Guided tour with the curator, Horacio Curti, on Sunday, 22 April at 11 am.
  • Percussion workshop with specialist Simon Mills on Saturday, 21 April from 10 am to 2 pm.
  • Concert, Pansori: l’èpica de la veu i el tambor (Pansori: epic tales with voice and drum) on Sunday, 22 April at 12 pm in hall 4 of L’Auditori, which will allow you to immerse yourself in the wonderful world of the epic tales of pansori.
