Publication containing the main data on tourist activity in Barcelona. For the second year running, Barcelona City Council, Barcelona Provincial Council and the Barcelona Tourist Consortium are publishing these statistics with the aim of generating and increasing knowledge on tourist activity in Barcelona (city and environs).


Annual report compiled by the Laboratori de Turisme (LABturisme) at Barcelona Provincial Council.This publication presents the main quantitative and qualitative data for 2015 and includes data on the Barcelona area, the city and its environs and an overview of Barcelona as an overall destination (province). This is the fifth report in a series which was started in 2010.

Barcelona leads the networkCiudad educadora y turismo responsable: El patrimonio como valor identitario de las ciudades  [Educational city and responsible tourism: heritage as an city identity value] and forms part of Spain's RECE network of educational cities. Participating cities use the network to reflect on the role of educational cities in tourism policy and analyse action taken.
