The Casa de la Lactància
Title: The construction of two buildings: one for lactation and another to house a school for blind, deaf and dumb students.
Description: The former Casa de la Lactància, a Modernista building which became the Francesc Layret municipal nursing home in 1982, is at Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes 475-477.
The building was initially designed in 1906 by the architect Pere Falqués and completed in 1913 by Antoni de Falguera.
It is currently being refurbished to make it more accessible and improve comfort, health and safety conditions for residents.
