Arxiu Municipal Contemporani de Barcelona

As of March 12, 2025, onwards, requests to access documents at the Barcelona Contemporary Archives (AMCB) must be submitted through the procedure Access to Information from the Barcelona Contemporary Archives, available at the City Council’s Electronic Office. This portal will enable users to submit requests and track both current and past requests.

How does the procedure work?

1. Access the procedure and authenticate yourself electronically.
2. Request the documentation you need through a designated form.
3. The staff of the Contemporary Archives will contact you to manage the consultation, either in person or by sending reproductions.

The main highlighted features are:

• The agile and automated processing of requests.
• Obtaining reproductions of documents online, facilitating immediate access from anywhere.
• Access to the complete history of requests, allowing you to consult in real time ongoing requests, as well as requests already closed.

The new procedure facilitates access to information and documents from the Barcelona Contemporary Archives.
