An exclusive visit to the restricted areas of Barcelona's museums
On 1 March, seventeen cultural facilities will open the doors of their most secret spaces to reveal the other side of their heritage.

Museu Endins is In Museu’s legacy day and, like its predecessor, offers a one-day opportunity to discover collection reserves, restoration laboratories and document archives, with the guidance of the professionals who work there every day. As the slogan of this year’s edition suggests, it will be possible to enjoy a visit to the other side of museums. The appointment this year 2025 will be the first day of March, and bookings, which are essential, will open on 17 February. Don’t hesitate, because places are limited!
In addition to the change of name, one of the novelties compared to a year ago is the incorporation of the Arxiu Fotogràfic de Barcelona and the Museu d’Arqueologia de Catalunya in the event. In total there will be seventeen centres offering guided and commented visits. The activity, recommended for ages 12 and up, will allow visitors to discover spaces such as Alexander Calder’s Font de Mercuri at Fundació Joan Miró, or the preventive conservation and restoration laboratory at the Museu de Ciències Naturals de Barcelona – Castell dels Tres Dragons.
Each centre has different visiting hours and, in many cases, different options and areas to discover. For example, at Museu Marítim de Barcelona there will be up to six types of visits: to the general archive, the conservation and restoration workshop, the traditional docks and the photographic, documentary and collection reserves. And, at Museu Picasso de Barcelona, you can choose between joining the Centre de Coneixement i Recerca (Knowledge and Research Centre) or the museum reserves.
Museu Endins is an initiative of the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona, one of the aims of which is to make visible the work of museums as guardians of history and culture and also to bring the heritage closer to the public.
