Revealed stories: The photograph collections of the municipal archives of the district
Amateur photography and the urban route
Other collections belonging to photographers who first-hand documented their neighbourhood, such as Tomàs Fàbregas, born in 1896, a worker at the Fabra i Coats factory and linked to the Saint-Victor Photography Group. He had a passion for photography which he developed throughout his life, creating images that are an exceptional testimony to the history of Sant Andreu. Jaume Caminal, of Horta-Guinardó, combined his work at La Maquinista Terrestre i Marítima with photography and became a great visual chronicler of Horta during the second half of the 20th century. In Les Corts, Bonaventura Batlle i Joaquim Tapiola, with their routes camera in hand, also left a very important visual testimony of the district.
