Revealed stories: The photograph collections of the municipal archives of the district

The files of the Documentation Centre of Marina and Zona Franca contain jobs related to education, farming and a hairdressers in a shack, representing an example of the submerged economy not recognised in the capitalist dynamic, such as house work. In the latter there are testimonies in the Municipal Archive of Sants-Montjuïc, the result of a joint work between the Archive, the district and the historian Isabel Segura in publication Dones de Sants- Montjuïc, [Women of Sants-Montjuïc], in which she wishes to recognise the role of women in the history of the district through the photos of their personal collections and their own testimonies.
