We present a selection of the projects developed by primary and secondary schools in the Fab Lab Educational Programme, which were presented on 28 July at Ca l’Alier, during the final get-together between the participating schools and the Fab Lab teams.

Teachers and tech specialists shared experiences and the knowledge generated during the school year. They also pooled the errors and right choices in each fabrication process, in order to reflect on the best ways of integrating digital fabrication into educational practices.

Ten of the programme’s 22 projects were presented during the gathering, showing various solutions for resolving challenges posed by the students and their educational environment, through the use of digital fabrication and in a wide range of spheres and educational levels.

Michael Donaldson, the Commissioner for Digital Innovation, E-Administration and Good Governance, and Rosana Fernàndez, Director of the Barcelona Education Consortium’s Area of Innovation, Programmes and Training, accompanied the teachers and tech specialists and encouraged them to continue their research, in order to make digital innovation available to the educational community and resolve the general public’s real challenges.
