Ètnic, de les cultures tradicionals a la interculturalitat

An assessment of the urbanisation processes that reshaped the region and the Barcelona Metropolitan Area between 1977 and 2000, this study examines the ethnic evolution from traditional cultural landscapes to an increasingly intercultural metropolis. Its key contribution lies in distinguishing between two types of land occupation: urbanised and built. Quantifying land use through these categories provides a clearer picture of recent metropolitan change, one that better reflects the complexity and diversity of today’s territory.
