Sala Ciutat is a bookshop specialising in publications about our city where you’ll find the latest new publications and the complete catalogue of books published and co-published by Barcelona City Council.
Opened in 2017, Sala Ciutat is the first municipal bookshop to sell all the books published by the Directorate for Publishing Services and the city's museums and cultural centres.
You’ll find a section with all the latest publications and a little corner with old books at very reasonable prices. What’s more, library card holders can get 5% off the price of all books, a discount which is also applied on top of the discounts for special campaigns such as Archive Week or Architecture Week.
The bookshop is open Monday to Saturday, and is also open during two important festivals: Sant Jordi and La Mercè.
