This Louis Pasteur quote from the mid-nineteenth century is the title of this project, which aims to extract concepts, dynamics and content from biological fermentation and apply them to social and cultural fermentation in the context of the city of Barcelona. In fermentation processes, chance, presence and agitation generate life and food. Bearing in mind that hybridisation is highly local and constantly moving, and in a process similar to that of sourdough and making bread, we want to activate contexts and initiatives that generate cultural or social fermentation in our city.
