This book begins in 1860, with photographs from the year the Eixample neighbourhood was officially opened, and ends in 1980, when Spain was still in the transition process towards democracy. More than a century in pictures, focusing in particular on the Right and Left Eixample districts, and with special emphasis on the personal stories of the local residents: their lifestyle, customs, festivals and traditions as well as the neighbourhood’s most emblematic buildings.
