Behind the Scenes

The photographer Gabriel Casas i Galobardes (Barcelona, 1892-1973) deserves a book like this one. Up until the end of the Spanish Civil War he focused on portraits, photojournalism and institutional photography. After the war, as a consequence of being barred from working as a photojournalist, he concentrated on industrial photography, interior design and portraits. This book is a collection of photographs taken throughout his career and a homage to a key figure in the history of photography in Barcelona and Europe.
