Boost to services for women experiencing gender violence

The health emergency caused by coronavirus and the resulting home confinement period could potentially lead to an increase in cases of gender violence, either because of having to share the home 24 hours a day or because of mobility restrictions or anxiety about the economic and social uncertainty many families are facing. Given this situation, Barcelona City Council has strengthened its services aimed at women and has edited guides with advice on self-protection, detection and prevention.
