Barcelona City Council is actively working to make Barcelona a city free of gender violence, and offers citizens a series of support services and resources to help eradicate it.

Services are free and confidential for users, addressing gender violence in all its forms: physical, psychological, sexual, obstetric and the violation of sexual and reproductive rights, economic, digital, pastoral and violence towards those close to people who suffer situations of gender violence.

A municipal facility aimed at promoting a plural, positive and diverse perspective on masculinities.

Shelter services for gender violence

Emergency residential shelter service for women experiencing gender violence and their children. The centre provides comprehensive care.

Barcelona Social Emergency and Urgent Care Centre. CUESB

This offers an ongoing psycho-social service which deals with any social emergency situation in the city, 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.

Care, Recovery and Reception Service (SARA Jove)

This offers a specific outpatient’s service for children aged between 12 and 17 who are victims of gender-violence situations.

Care Service for young men. SAH JOVE

Aimed at boys aged between 12 and 17 who maintain or have maintained abusive partner relations and need support and tools for achieving more respectful and egalitarian family and couple relations.

Agency for Comprehensive Approach to Sex Workers (ABITS)

Municipal service attached to the Department of Feminism and LGBTI Affairs at the Area of Social Rights, Global Justice, Feminism and LGTBI Affairs.
