Sessions for learning writing techniques and how to build a narrative. Aimed at people keen to express ideas, feelings, realities and so on, through the written word. The workshop will be essentially practical and texts will be analysed in a participative manner.
Run by: Ricardo Reitano
Duration: 8 sessions, 1 hour 45 minutes each (14 hours)
A workshop aimed at self-discovery and finding the pleasure in writing. The session puts a whole range of techniques at the disposal of every participant, to use as each feels best and taking them on their inner journey. Writing, then, as a tool for exploring and building who we are, were and would like to be.
Our memories and experiences make up one of the basic ingredients for developing our writing. Sometimes we realise, however, that explaining a memory to a friend is not the same as writing it down, in other words, we find the resulting text does not convey everything we experienced. This workshop invites participants to take a closer look at this space that seems to have no room for words.
Autobiographies are life documents that enable us to leave our narrative for future generations, and they also serve to develop a personal, enriching literary creativity whilst also expressing the entirety of our experiences, as we embark on our own personal
journey. This workshop provides the tools required to learn how to use images to accompany these texts, be they photos or illustrations.
