More than 300 workers from the Barcelona Fire Service have been to Valencia to help storm-hit municipalities

A total of 269 professionals in 13 convoys have made the trip, some of them as many as three times, making for a higher number of workers in all. Fourteen vehicles have been used: two fire engines, a rescue truck, a crane truck, and ambulance and a light boat. The rest were auxiliary vehicles.

Work was mainly carried out in the municipality of Catarroja, although some buildings were also underpinned in other municipalities and search tasks conducted in the Albufera area. In Catarroja, the service also helped move loads, clean streets, provide various types of technical assistance and manage biological risks.

The Barcelona Fire Service worked under the command of the Fire Service Consortium of Valencia Provincial Council non-stop from 2 to 29 November.
