A movement that seeks to promote sustainable, accessible, safe and friendly mobility.
The Castler has obtained the badge that accredits the equipment as a "Bike-Friendly Building". This program is included in the framework of the "A la feina BICIA't" project that promotes sustainable and healthy mobility habits at work among workers and is part of the deployment of the Government Measure of the Bicycle Strategy to give greater role for the bicycle in the city.
The Castell of Montjuïc currently has two parkings for the use of bicycles. One located in the outer zone of the equipment, and one in the inner zone. The latter is located in Santa Amàlia's Baluard and has a total of 20 spaces.
Starting today, if you need to inflate the wheels of your bicycle or your personal mobility vehicle (PMV), you can do so by asking at reception. At this point they will provide you with an inflator enabled for this case.
It must be remembered that you can visit the enclosure accompanied by your bicycle or PMV provided that you do not do so inside the Castle.
The bicycle is an alternative way of moving around the city and the most efficient means of transport in energy terms. More practice. Healthier. And more sustainable: it does not generate smoke, it does not generate noise, it does not consume petroleum derivatives and it contributes to recovering the streets as spaces for citizen coexistence and improving the quality of life.
Dozens of council buildings already have audits carried out, and some already have the "BICI-friendly building" seal. The Castle is another one. You can consult the interactive map by accessing the following link.
