ELS MUSEUS T'ESPEREN
The project is aimed at people who use the old people's homes and spaces in the city and the VinclesBCN service.
The aim of the cycle is to introduce, disseminate and bring the museums of Barcelona and other municipalities in the nearest territory closer to the city's elderly. In addition, it wants to show the participants that museums are not elitist spaces reserved for certain groups, but are spaces where you can learn, have fun and socialize with other people.
The different activities in the cycle do not follow a common thread between them, but each museum has organized its own proposal, such as virtual tours, workshops with old objects, memory games or dialogues through the works or collections. However, all the visits share the characteristic feature of being very participatory and promoting conversation between the participants.
The cycle 'The museums are waiting' is an initiative of the Museums and Accessibility Working Group in collaboration with the Department of Promotion of Older Persons of the Barcelona City Council, and with the support of the Provincial Council of Barcelona.
