The Montjuïc Castle mediation service develops a collaboration program with artistic education centers in the city, with the aim that students can develop creative projects within the framework of the equipment. These activities take place in the old chapel, converted into a space for experimentation, dialogue, and practice at the service of the various communities and users of the Castle. The aim is to support the formation of new generations of creators and their public dissemination, through research processes registered in the different programmatic axes of the space: memory, education, heritage, and citizenship. A rose emerges is, therefore, the starting point of this line of work.
"A ROSE ARISES" PROJECT
Lucía Morón and María Gutiérrez, two students of the Grisart photography school, have developed a photographic project in which they have linked the mountain of Montjuïc, the Castle, and the city of Barcelona. The final result can be seen in an exhibition in the Sala de la Capella del Castell until March 31, 2023.
