Tarta Relena

Tarta Relena is a duo made up of Marta Torrella and Helena Ros. It was founded in 2016 as the two singers explored different a cappella vocal music styles, with the Mediterranean region as their point of reference.

Their repertoire ranges from traditional music to original songs, with experimentation as their hallmark and a combination of vocal techniques as their creative engine. They are unafraid to blur the boundaries between the sacred and the profane.

Tarta Relena’s arrangements feature the very different timbres of their two voices and the synthetic sound of electronic samples and instruments, always seeking complexity in simplicity and full expression with as few elements as possible.
