Maria Arnal: AMA

Maria Arnal is presenting AMA, a work of performance art that merges voice, body and artificial intelligence. With a feminist perspective, the project reflects on vocal sovereignty and the dissociation between body and sound.

In conjunction with research centres and five dancers, it explores the expressive potential of synthetic voices created using her own voice. The dancers’ movement modulates these voices and creates a living, changing chorus.

AMA is the first chapter in her new repertoire, which she plans to take on an international tour.
