Next Tuesday, May 29, from 7 p.m. on, the Ciutat Vella’s Economic Development Plan (EDP) 2017 annual report will be presented during a plenary session in the Room Ernest Lluch of the District’s headquarters, located in 3 Bonsuccés Square.

During this session, accountability on the evolution of different measures from the EDP will be presented, and people and entities that have taken benefit or are helping with their implementation will participate.

The Plan is the road map for the dynamisation and the socioeconomic transformation of the District along the 5-year execution term, opting for a new economic model for the neighbourhoods: a model of plural, diverse and strong economy in both, activity sectors and distribution of wealth; and also meeting the needs of all the neighbourhoods in the District as the fundamental purpose.

The Plan is divided into different strategic lines, and it comprises up to 57 measures, that will be accounted in group during the session held next Tuesday. Some of the topics that will be discussed are how to foster quality employment, productive diversification, how to strengthen businesses and proximity commerce, and the social cooperative and solidarity economy.

If you are interested in these topics and you’d like to get to know the Ciutat Vella’s Economic Development Plan in depth, we remind you that all citizens are welcome in the session.
