Autumn Commerce Fair

Several of the city’s commercial hubs organising the first autumn street commerce fair, which will later be spreading to other venues in the city right up to November. This is the street commerce festival and the shops, i.e.the local commerce - are the star attractions. The Fair will come with activities for all ages.

Gràcia

On Saturday, October 6, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., there will also be a day in which the shops of Gracia will take to the streets: in Asturias, Verdi and Riera de San Miquel. There will be activities: music, circus and parades with dance at the rhythm of swing. Gran de Gràcia will be cut off to the traffic of vehicles with the same schedule as the trade show, so the street will be transformed into a great walk.

Sant Andreu

Sant Andreu's shops are holding their own Street Commerce Fair, in an autumn edition this 6 October. The associated establishments will take to the streets with stalls showing their products, ranging from jewellery to footwear and fashion, as well as the services they offer. Seeing as public works are being carried out along C/ Gran de Sant Andreu, the Commerce Festival will be held in Plaça del Comerç, C/ Ajuntament, Plaça Orfila and Plaça Can Fabra. There will also be music, dancing and draws. What's more, the shops of the Sant Andreu Nord Retailers’ Association and Les Formigues Food Bank will be making a big food collection entitled “Sant Andreu batega contra la Fam”.

El Carmel

"Fira de Comerç i Entitats" (Trade Fair and Entities). From 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., shops open on the street. There are musical activities, raffles and at noon a popular botifarrada.

 

Nou Eixample

Retailers from Esquerra de l’Eixample are organising their “Dishes and tapas” culinary route, which will continue up to 7 October. Some twenty of the neighbourhood’s restaurateurs are taking part. Members of the public can evaluate and vote for the best tapas and dishes on their mobiles and enter for supper-for-two prizes and a cookery course at the Mercat del Ninot.

Cor Eixample

Eixample's Cor Eixample-associated shops are organising a Health Week, from 1 to 7 October, featuring approximately seventy activities relating to the world of health and well-being, including workshops, talks, races, sports classes, massages and presentations. They’ll be offering services, treatments, information and knowledge about products and the shops themselves, for example, spinal check-ups,medical advice and consultations, acupuncture and self-massage workshops, meditation sessions, dental check-ups, testing blood pressure and glucose levels, a fitness evaluation and personal training.

An opportunity for finding out about shops and their professionals from close up. There are 26 establishments taking part, and besides promotions and discounts for activities, there will be, for example, photography competitions, free dance classes, talks on trends in dental beauty care and health workshops. El Clot

Retailers at the Clot hub have the Targetó campaign in operation until 18 October. Shops are offering their customers a card for stamping with each purchase, so that every customer can enter a draw for two prizes worth €300 in shopping vouchers. Once the card is filled in, it will need to be popped into one of the boxes that can be found in the shopping establishments Forn Elias (Freser 90), La Gelateria (Rogent 88), Tintea (Rogent 17) and Mercat del Clot (Plaça del Mercat 26)

A draw will be held on 20 October and the results published in hub's Facebook page.

Creu Coberta

Retailers are organising the 13th Medieval Fair at the Creu Coberta hub this weekend, from 10 to midnight on Saturday, 6 October and from 10 am to 8 pm on Sunday, 7 October. Retailers will be offering a sample of medieval ambience for the fair, with activities for all ages, a crafts products fair, dancing, music and, of course, mythological princesses and knights. Poblenou

About a dozen establishments from the Poblenou shopping hub are organising Mental Health Week from 6 to 10 October, with activities from around the neighbourhood. Shops will be presenting their products and services. Furthermore, the public has up to 2 November to take part in "The Mystery Game", which invites everyone to participate in an investigation about a coin, in search of several characters coexisting in Poblenou's streets. This is all about solving various mysteries and winning prizes, using a few clues given at the start.

Sants-Les Corts

The Sants – Les Corts Shopping Hub is playing host this Saturday, 29 September to the Carrer Joan Güell street Autumn Commerce Fair, offering activities throughout the day, from 10.30 am to 8.30 pm. Shops are coming out to the street to show off their products and services at several stands. From noon onwards, there will be hip hop, flamenco and salsa dance performances. The afternoon will feature children’s performances and the evening swing dancing. The Sants artists’ collective will be holding a painting exhibition throughout the day.

Maragall

Maragall Shopping Hub is organising, from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 September, the 12th Culinary Tasting Session of Wines and Cavas, the Culinary, Wines and Cavas Fair. The times are as follows: Friday 28, 5 pm - 12 midnight; Saturday 29, 11 am - 12 midnight; and Sunday 30, 11 am - 4 pm. Tickets can be bought in advance from the hub's offices on Plaça Maragall, from 15 to 27 September, 10 am - 5 pm.
