The “Get Digitised” service offers personalised advice for businesses and associations

The “Get Digitised” service is an initiative launched by Barcelona City Council's Department of Commerce to promote the digitisation of local commerce and services, as well as associations. It offers a personalised advice programme through Barcelona Activa for commercial establishments to improve their levels of digital maturity.

Digital transformations offer an opportunity for local commerce to achieve greater competitiveness. Programmes such as “Get Digitised” are aimed at providing commerce with the tools needed to make progress with their digital transformation.

The digitisation process involves several levels of digital maturity which are achieved through an itinerary starting from no online presence and gradually moving through - from basic to extensive and then active presence - until the status of digital commerce is reached.

The Business Support Office (OAE) Service

The Business Support Office (OAE) is where the “Get Digitised” service is provided. It consists of a minimum of five hours of advice for each business, divided up into several work sessions and adapted to the needs of each establishment taking part.

First an initial analysis is made of both the business and the professionals managing it, over the use of digital solutions. A work plan is then proposed and agreed to which is aimed at achieving greater digital maturity. The business receives guidance and support throughout the process and, finally, the results obtained are evaluated.
