The municipal district of Nou Barris is located in a northern area of the city. Not very populated until the 50's, from then on it became the third most populated district, with over 170,000 people and a higher population density per km² than the city average.

The big commercial potential of this district has been increased by the creation of a commercial area following the boulevards. This truly vertebrating area of space connects Paseo de Fabra i Puig with Via Júlia in a continuous line, passing by Doctor Pi i Molist street and Paseo de Verdum, and it represents a plural and competitive commercial offer.
