Mayo Fuster Morell is head of research on the collaborative economy at the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Dimmons). She is also an affiliate professor at Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University and the Institut de Govern i Polítiques Públiques of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (IGOPnet). In 2010 she completed her doctoral thesis at the European University Institute in Florence on the governance of creation based on commonality among equals, a field in which she has published numerous papers. She directs the research of the European P2Pvalue project, a techno-social platform for sustainable peer-to-peer models. She is also the head of BarCola, a group of experts in economics and the collaborative production of commons from the Barcelona City Council, and leads the organisation of the Procomuns: Commons Collaborative Economy event.
