Meeting between experts in digitisation and urban innovation to improve quality of life
The City Leadership Forum is being held at Ca l’Alier on 8 and 9 June, offering a meeting of experts in digitisation and urban innovation from different cities to discuss digitisation as a tool for improving people’s quality of life. The meeting includes round tables, activities on innovation and technology, digital rights and cybersecurity.
The City Leadership Forum is organised by Cities Today, with the support of the BIT Habitat (es) foundation and Barcelona City Council. The event is aimed at teams of executives and innovation chiefs from different cities and is held in a different capital every six months.
For this edition, Barcelona has chosen to debate digitisation as a tool for improving people’s quality of life (technological humanism).
The ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve public services or the public-private collaboration needed to ensure connectivity for all people in cities are the other topics for debate at the meeting. Representatives from cities such as Dublin, Bristol, Rotterdam and Malaga will be taking part in the meeting, as will tech companies such as Cellnex. Itron, Paradox and Climate View.
Barcelona previously hosted another edition of the City Leadership Forum, on mobility, in 2016.
