New call for subsidies under the 2019 "Impulsem el que fas” digital social innovation programme
What does the “Impulsem el que fas” programme promote?
We encourage young people at risk of social exclusion to discover their vocation. We aim to boost the creation and distribution of renewable energies. To facilitate access to time banks. And to provide a public open-technology facility for everyday needs.
These things are happening in Barcelona thanks to the “Impulsem el que fas” subsidy scheme, which is now launching its third call for applications. Digital social innovation projects can be submitted until 29 May.
The aim of this subsidy, which is funded by Barcelona City Council, is to develop the economic fabric of the city’s neighbourhoods and districts, with funding for up to 80% of project budgets.
In 2017 and 2018, 16 projects received subsidies worth over €500,000 in the social digital innovation category. To learn more about the completed pilot tests from the 2017 call and the projects from the 2018 call just starting to be worked on, click here.
The city’s needs
The third call is already under way, looking for projects aimed at solving a wide range of Barcelona’s and its citizens’ current needs with a high social impact, such as recycling, digital inclusion and training, reducing the digital gap – with particular emphasis on the gender perspective – and the fight against energy poverty.
