The Maker Faire Barcelona 2019 brings the circular economy to 10,000 people

The latest edition of the Maker Faire Barcelona 2019, which was held on 5 and 6 October at Nau Bostik, was attended by a total of 10,000 people. The fair attracted 500 participants in all, between exhibitors, speakers and workshop facilitators.

The Maker Faire Barcelona consisted of over one hundred and fifty proposals including stands, exhibitions, demonstrations, screenings, panel discussions, workshops and  talks, covering, among other aspects, stimulating circular initiatives in the textile, fashion, agricultural and food industries; materials that can be reused indefinitely, as well as the results of experimentation and production based on all kinds of waste and plastics collected from the Mediterranean and returned to the market through the circular economy.

All this was supplemented by the presentation of projects with advanced results in the fields of artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, nanotechnology, social robotics, photonics, levitation and acoustics, among many others.
